2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 Toyota Camry Sun Visor Repair Kit DIY Do It Yourself - How to Test - How to Fix and Repair Flopping o. 2007 Toyota Camry xle with 32,000 miles: Driver's side interior sun visor fails to stay in upright position and locking clip snapped inside visor when attempting to secure. The visor has had problems being loose for months and falls down when going over bumps. The clip would occasionally come undone, causing the visor to swing open.

The driver side sun visor in the 2007 Toyota Camry begin with a clicking noise when changing the position of the visor from up to down. Now the visor is losing the ability to stay in the up position. This defect causes a major blockage in the ability to see the roadway ahead. At this point in time nothing has been done to repair the issue. The driver's side sun visor on my 2007 Toyota Camry will not stay in place. The inside grips of the sun visor have broken apart or warped and now the visor continues to drop down in front of the windshield blocking full view of the road which could cause a hazard. I accidently ran a red stop light because the visor dropped down in front of me.

Purchased a brand new 2009 Camry and have already had so many issues. My sun visor does not stay up and is a hazard while driving. I have also had problems with my ABS module (replaced), dashboard (replaced), undercarriage falling down. Will not be purchasing a Toyota in the future.

The driver side visor won't stay up and flips down. Pretty dangerous if happens while driving. Looking to fix it or replace it. The new replacement in Amazon is around $130.

Very poor design almost like it was designed to fail!

A part that can't cost $5.00 to make but they want $55.00 to replace!

This isn't a Rolls Royce!

No wonder they want them to fail!

Absolute trash!!!

Both sun visors, driver and passenger, fell off the hinge. Found 'how to fix it' video on YouTube .

The dealership says the recall has expired. Does that mean after a certain length of time your safety doesn't matter? This was a used car and I never received a notice. Toyota should replace my visor free of charge. I have had older cars than this but never had this problem.

Camry LE V6

How can Toyota make visors that break? What other car has ever had this problem in the last 30 years? Maybe if the car is >30 years old. Our 2009 Camry LE v6 had the drivers side visor break, and Toyota had issued a recall (must be a problem for most of their cars). Went to the dealer and with two tries, the new visors will not fully snap up into position backwards like the passenger side does, and it will not fully push up to the front, it just flops down a couple of inches blocking your view of a signal light that you are waiting for.

2007 Toyota Camry Sun Visor Driver Side Recall Problems

After four Toyota's, after the accelerator pedal problem recall (the fix for ours was a cut up pedal totally uglyfied), after transmission shifting sticking, after undercarriage covers falling down, after AUX connection not working, and now this unfix-able visor problem (maybe Velcro will work to hold it up?), we will not be buying Toyota again. The dealer was getting huffy too, trying to protect the Toyota reputation, denying the visor had a problem and the local Toyota rep refusing to see it. Best to stay away from Nippon products due to possible Fukushima radioactive material contamination anyway. Toro controller manual. Sad the Toyota cannot make a reliable car anymore.
